  • Yay!  I just got hired today after an hour and a half interview.  It's a company called Ambassadors that does event planning and corporate incentive programs.  This is kind of a dream come true, I've always wanted to work in the industry.  Plus I'm getting paid way more than my old job, including benefits.  I start work Friday, I'm so excited!!

  • Whew, that was a grueling 2 weeks!!  I'm glad it's over (well at least my aching body is), but I'm also a bit sad.  I guess that's the way it should be, it's sad to see good things end.  At first I wasn't too thrilled about Anime Expo (AX), esp. with the rough start, but I as I got into it, I really enjoyed it.  I'm not sure if I'll be back next year, but if my schedule permits I'll try and make it.

Immediately after AX I hooked up with Trooper who is interning with this pyrotechnic company doing fireworks.  He invited me to watch first hand as they did the 4th of July show for the city of Anaheim.  It was fantastic!!!  I was 12 feet away from the table where they were setting the fireworks off with a electronic control board....and about 50 away from the actual firework cannnons.  I had to wear a hard hat and safety glasses.  But it was the most amazing show I've been too, actually standing underneath the explosions.  Thanks again Trooper!!

While I was waiting for the show to start, I saw in the distance some small fireworks that people were setting off.  Some of them went pretty high and a couple of them had big explosions....I'm surprised that the cops didn't arrest them.  It must have cost them a small fortune to hold their own private firework show.

Then I felt God speaking to me.  The famous verse of Jeremiah 29:11 popped into my head.  As I looked at the small private firework show, I sensed God saying that my own plans to accomplish my dreams were like those fireworks.  Sure some were pretty spectacular, but for the most part it was lacking....not to mention that the owner paid a high price for them.  Then He told me that His plans were like what I was about to see directly overhead....grand and magnificent!  Not to mention free (well the city of Anaheim paid the cost).  I was just reminded to trust God and His plans for me, because they're so much grander and fantastic than I could achieve on my own, or even imagine.  Paul was speaking on Sunday on how God surprises us with good gifts.  I'm starting to take this to heart and eagerly await all that He has planned for me.

About Me

  • Welcome everyone! Ok...welcome anyone. Well I've finally decided to have my own xanga, but not for the usual reasons. This is actually to help encourage me to write more and verbalize all my thoughts. So you won't find any entries of my day to day events, but rather some philosphical and, lets face it, stupid ramblings, which hopefully might help me in the future. So beware and enter at your own risk!
